Indian DGCA issued Acceptance Type Certificate for L410 UVP-E20
In December 2011, Aircraft Industries, a.s. and Interglobe Established Pvt. Ltd. have concluded a Representative Agreement for promoting and supporting sales of L 410 aircraft in India, Bhutan, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Maldives. Cooperation of the Companies has already resulted in issuance of Acceptance Type Certificate for L410 UVP-E20 by Indian DGCA, which will allow using the proven and reliable L 410 aircraft on the local routes in a near future.

First Flight of Aircraft Industries’ L 410 UVP-E20 Aircraft with New GEAC H80 Engines and AV-725 Propellers

 

On 16th November 2011, the prototype of the L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft equipped with newly developed GE H80 engines and AV-725 propellers made its maiden flight from the airport of Aircraft Industries, a.s. in Kunovice.

 

H80 turbo prop engine is the newest model of original M 601 engine series developed by GE Aviation Czech Company, which, in comparison to the M601E engine currently used on L 410 aircraft, has significantly higher shaft power, lower fuel consumption, increased TBO, while keeping the same dimensions and overall weight as M601E. 

 

AV-725 propeller made by AVIA Propeller Company is an upgraded version of the current V-510 propeller, with modified shape of the blades, improved aerodynamics efficiency, and reduced weight.

Installation of upgraded power unit on the L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft will result in shortening of take off distance, reduction of fuel consumption, increase of cruising speed, in significant improvement of aircraft performance in HOT and HIGH conditions and in reduction of operation costs.

 

Aircraft Industries Company, the manufacturer of the L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft, expects, that the L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft equipped with GE H80 engines and AV-725 propellers will become attractive option not only for current operators of L 410 aircraft, but mainly for a number of new operators, especially in territories where the improved characteristics of the airplane can be made full use of.

 

At present time, the approval process of installation of new engines and propellers on the L 410 UVP-E20 is running under umbrella of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).

Maiden flight of the aircraft has commenced the stage of certification flight tests. The stage of certification flight testing be completed by flight testing of aircraft performance at high atmospheric temperatures in hte middle 2012. certification process is expected to be completed in autumn of 2012 year.

Announcement by Aircraft Industries, a.s.

It is with deep regret that Aircraft Industries, a.s. received news of the tragic death of two members of its Board of Directors, Pavel Vach and Petr Veselý, Kunovice yesterday, on 10 November 2011. Aircraft Industries, a.s. and its employees want to hereby express their sorrow over the death of their colleagues, who made a significant contribution to the company´s successful running.

Aircraft Industries, a.s. hereby offers condolences to the families and friends of both colleagues.

The company is doingg its best to help the surviving members of the families. The company will not comment on the case until it is closed with finality, both for sympathy with the survivors and also because of the investigation of the tragedy, which is currently under way.

Police of Czech Republic have begun investigation of the event and we will keep you informed about the results of this investigation.
Nevertheless, it is already without doubt that the event has no direct relation to the Company activities and it will not, in any way, have any impact on the Company operation.
