On March 30, 2016 in Prague at the Chinese-Czech economic forum with presidents of the two countries, Xi Jinping and Milos Zeman, the company Aircraft Industries, a.s. signed a memorandum of understanding regarding the delivery of 20 aircraft L 410 UVP-E20 over 5 years for a total amount of more than 126 million USD with the Chinese company China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CASC).

 

The company CASC is the official importer of foreign aircraft to China. In August 2015 in Moscow within the MAKS air show the agreement on cooperation between the company Aircraft Industries, a.s. and the Chinese company China General Aviation Supplies Company (a subsidiary of CASC) was signed. This agreement relates to sales support of L 410 at the Chinese market including a support for obtaining the certificate of airworthiness applicable for Chinese territory. Signing the contract dated March 30, 2016 in Prague is the first practical result of this collaboration.

 

The recipient of aircraft is the firm Xinjiang General Purpose Airline which is part of the Xinjiang production building complex. The aircraft L 410 UVP-E20 with its aeronautical features, including the ability to operate in difficult climatic conditions, completely meets the needs of Uighur autonomous region of Xinjiang. The operational experience of L 410 verified during several decades in Siberia, RF and countries in the Far East are the sufficient proof this fact.

 

The contract for the delivery of the first five aircraft is planned to realize in 2016. The important precondition for this project is that the certificates for L 410 aircraft will be approved by the Chinese Civil Aviation Authority. By the opportunity of signing the memorandum in Prague General Director of AI Ilona Plšková addressed to the President of the PRC Xi Jinping the corresponding application regarding this matter.

 

In addition to the memorandum of cooperation between the Aircraft Industries, a.s. and the Xinjiang production building complex there is concluded the agreement on an industrial cooperation which assumes to build the supply centre and service centre for L 410 aircraft, as well as the training facility for pilots and technicians in the city Shihezi (Uighur autonomous region of Xinjiang).

The following day, March 31, 2016 the 5-member delegation from the Public republic of China leaded by representatives of the China Aviation Supplies Holding Company (CASC), representative of Xinjiang General Purpose Airline and representatives of Xinjiang production building complex visited our manufacture plant in Kunovice.

The Chinese guests are personally acquainted with the organization of production and discuss the practical implementation of previously signed documents as the memorandum of understanding with CASC for the delivery of 20 aircraft L 410 UVP-E20 for Xinjiang production building complex, as well as the agreements on an industrial cooperation which assumes to build supply centre and service centre for L 410 and also a training centre for pilots and technical experts in the city Shihezi.

The level of production organization in the AI was highly appraised by representatives of the Chinese delegation which re-confirmed the genuine interest for the fastest possible purchase of five aircraft from the first series of deliveries.
