On the 17 and 18 April 2018 the fifth aero-technical conference of Russian L 410 operators took place in our company. Current issues related to the operation and maintenance of this aircraft, engines and propellers were discussed. The main goal of the annual conference is to improve the after-sales cooperation between the operators, our company and the power-plant manufacturers GE Aviation Czech and Aviapropeler.
Director of sales for Russia and CIS Aircraft Industries Sergey Martynov opened the conference with information about resolved issues, which were raised at the last meeting. The aircraft operators discussed their problems encountered in the process of working with the aircraft.
Since PAO NAZ "Sokol" ceased to be an authorized service center of GE Aviation and the service center of AVIA PROPELLER LTD in Russia, this time representatives of the Ural Company for Civil Aviation (UZGA) took part in the conference. UZGA received a certificate for FAP-285 on the basis of which a single center for repair and maintenance of the L 410 components and laboratory equipment was created.
In 2017 a new airline, Siberian Light Aviation, joined the family of operators, which purchased two L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft through the state transport leasing company (GTLK). Another two L 410 UVP-E20 aircraft purchased through the company GTLK our "old friend" - JSC "2nd Archangelsk United Air Unit", which has been operating L 410 since the times of the USSR. Thus, since 2009, when the L 410 UVP-E20 received Russian type certificate, 68 aircraft were delivered to the Russian Federation.
