Aircraft Industries opens the door to the Malaysian market – CAAM certification successfully completed

Aircraft Industries, a member of the OMNIPOL group, has reached a significant milestone – its L 410 aircraft have been officially approved for operation in Malaysia. The approval was granted by the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) based on the validation of the EASA type certificate, paving the way for active deployment of these aircraft in the Southeast Asian region.

As part of the EASA type certificate validation process, the L 410 aircraft underwent a thorough assessment by the local civil aviation authority to ensure compliance with technical and operational aviation requirements. This process involved a detailed review of the aircraft’s type documentation, certification evidence, and operational manuals to confirm their alignment with local regulatory requirements. The validation of the EASA type certificate is an official confirmation that the aircraft meets all the necessary standards for safe and legal operation in Malaysia.

The certification process in Malaysia follows international standards but also includes specific formal requirements and evaluation procedures established by the local authority. Securing the certification not only represents recognition of the existing European EASA type certificate but also demonstrates compliance with Malaysia’s additional regulatory demands.

A specialized team of technicians, engineers, and aviation legislation experts participated in the preparation of documentation and communication with the authority. Thanks to the professional approach of both parties, the certification process – launched last year – was successfully completed within a few months.

This achievement confirms the high technical standard and reliability of the L 410 aircraft and further strengthens Aircraft Industries’ position in the rapidly developing Southeast Asian market. Malaysia is a strategically important regional hub with growing demand for versatile and robust aircraft like the L 410. The newly acquired certification also opens the door to other countries in the region, which often adopt regulatory standards from larger nations.

Aircraft Industries pursued the certification in response to specific demand from the region. The company is currently in talks with several operators and partners in Malaysia interested in using these aircraft primarily for transportation to remote areas, humanitarian missions, or government programs. The company’s goal is to establish long-term cooperation and offer not only the aircraft themselves but also a comprehensive service and training infrastructure.
