Two L 410 NG aircraft head to Thailand

Aircraft Industries, under the wings of its parent company OMNIPOL Group and in cooperation with Thai partner Forth Corporation Public Company Limited, has delivered two L 410 NG aircraft to the Department of Royal Rainmaking and Agricultural Aviation (DRRAA), an agency under the Thai Ministry of Agriculture. The official handover ceremony took place on August 17, 2025, at the DRRAA base at Tak Airport in Tak Province.

The event was attended by Minister of Agriculture Atthakorn Sirilatthayakorn, Governor of Tak Province Chucheep Pongchai, DRRAA Director General Rachen Sillaparaya, and DRRAA Deputy Director General Phaijit Khaokla.

The newly delivered L 410 NG aircraft, fully manufactured in Kunovice, Czech Republic, are equipped with advanced systems for artificial rainfall enhancement. They will play a crucial role in Thailand’s rainmaking program, which aims to secure sufficient water resources for local farmers during dry seasons.

“The successful handover represents another milestone in the long-term cooperation between the Czech Republic and Thailand and reaffirms OMNIPOL Group’s commitment to delivering high-quality, tailor-made aircraft ready to meet the specific needs of our customers,” said Jiří Podpěra, President of OMNIPOL Group.

Rainmaking – also known as cloud seeding – is a technique that involves dispersing special substances into the atmosphere to stimulate rainfall. Thailand’s program was established by King Bhumibol Adulyadej (Rama IX).

With more than 1,200 units produced and delivered to over 60 countries, the L 410 has a strong reputation for reliability and versatility in both civil and special missions. Its multipurpose design also allows the installation of a wide range of systems, including those required for rainmaking operations.

Forth Corporation Public Company Limited is a Thai technology company engaged in the development, manufacturing, and services in the fields of ICT, electronics, and automated financial systems. The company also operates a specialized aviation division dedicated to aircraft operations and maintenance, supporting the implementation of Thailand’s rainmaking program.
