Nearly 5 000 visitors joined Aircraft Industries open day

On Saturday, 13 June 2026, Aircraft Industries opened its gates to the public and celebrated the 90th anniversary of its foundation together with visitors. The Open Day attracted nearly 5 000 visitors who took the unique opportunity to get a behind-the-scenes look at aircraft manufacturing and learn more about the history and present of aviation in Kunovice.

Throughout the day, the company’s premises were filled with a vibrant atmosphere, inspiring encounters, and a shared passion for aviation. Visitors had the opportunity to take guided tours of the production facilities, explore an exhibition dedicated to the company’s 90-year history, enjoy sightseeing flights over the Slovácko region, and visit the presentation of the Secondary School of Aviation. One of the highlights of the event was the ceremonial unveiling of the historic aircraft that was the first type ever produced at the Kunovice factory.

Families with children also enjoyed a wide range of aviation-themed activities. The accompanying programme included a firefighting equipment display, pedal-powered airplanes, competitions, and many other attractions.

This year’s attendance confirmed that aviation continues to have deep roots in the region and strong support from the public. It also demonstrated that the future of Czech aviation is built on tradition, expertise, and the enthusiasm of a new generation interested in technical and aviation-related fields.

Aircraft Industries would like to thank all visitors for their attendance and interest. Special thanks also go to our distinguished guests who accepted our invitation and joined the celebrations – Radim Holiš, Governor of the Zlín Region, astronaut Aleš Svoboda, space populariser Tomáš Přibyl, pilot Michal Orlita, Martin Hrabec, and Rosina Kašičková.

Thank you to everyone who spent this exceptional day with us. We look forward to meeting you again at future events.
