Over the past weekend, Kunovice became the centre of Czech and Slovak aviation. The airport of Aircraft Industries hosted the 13th Czech and Slovak Aircraft Fly-In, setting a historic record as 101 aircraft of Czechoslovak design gathered in one place. The achievement is particularly symbolic as our company celebrates the 90th anniversary of its founding this year.
The Czech and Slovak Aircraft Fly-In is a unique annual event that brings together the history, present and future of Czech and Slovak aviation. Kunovice welcomed legendary aircraft representing several generations—from historic piston-powered aircraft and turboprops to iconic jet aircraft. Modern aircraft continuing the long tradition of Czechoslovak aircraft manufacturing were also on display. The record attendance confirmed the exceptional enthusiasm of pilots, aircraft owners and aviation enthusiasts for preserving this unique aviation heritage.
For Aircraft Industries, this year's gathering held special significance.
